However in all my joyous spending I have never once scored all 3 borderlands symbols. Is this even possible? Has anyone done it? If so then what do you get for it?? Ive gotten just about every other combo except for that. Marcus and the Moxxi leg being the best of course. Haha. Let me know what you guys have seen. I think that you can only get the borderlands symbols from killing a one arm bandit and using the slot machine on his back. On a related note, I found a table listing the program odds of winning at the slot machines. Triple eridium was (from memory, so this may not be quite correct) 0.23% and triple orange was 0.018%, both of which count for the Jackpot Sanctuary challenge. That means you'd have to play well over a thousand times to guarantee that at least 1 spin resulted in the jackpot. I probably manage 10-20 spins before I get bored in any one session, so it's no surprise that I have the Jackpot challenge on only one of my characters! So i found a strange Slot Machine glitch
I'm sorry for such a long story, i felt it'd be best to describe what happened as much as i could, has anyone else encountered this? Both me and my friend have thousands of hours on the game and have never seen this happen.

Either it's a glitch I never heard of (or it's a common glitch that I still have yet to hear about).
Really stupid-great luck.
But when u just started the characters as u say and just made it to sanctuary where did u have the money from to play like a million times bc usually u arrive sanctuary with like no cash in the first play trough?

Easy and early Eridium (max out your backpack ASAP!)
Once you reach Sanctuary (shortly after completing the Prologue), you can gamble on two slot machines at Mad Moxxi’s bar.
The further you are in the game, the more expensive it is to pull the levers. But the items you may randomly win also scale with your level. And it’s the Eridium you want early on, and if you used the cash or item duping tricks above to get a fat wallet, you can play the slots until your heart explodes.
The slots have three different Eridium payouts, and once you have enough, you can take them to the shady Black Market dealer a few steps away from Moxxi’s and upgrade your ammo capacity or backpack slots.
I highly recommend maxing out your backpack slots first, as this will allow you to carry much more loot. Nothing’s worse than finding lots of chests on a mission or killing a boss and not being able to pick anything up, even if you plan to sell it all (which you will — 95 percent of random drops are worse than your current inventory, in my experience).
For reference, I maxed my backpack before anything else while my friend did not, and I finished the game with a legitimate 0,000 and he only had ,000. That was all from selling loot I picked up while doing missions.
Black Market expansions get increasingly more expensive:
- Level 1: 4 Eridium
- Level 2: 8 Eridium
- Level 3: 12 Eridium
- Level 4: 16 Eridium
- Level MAX: 20 Eridium
BONUS: If you purchase 20 upgrades using Eridium, you’ll max out the “Whaddaya Buyin?” challenge for another 166 Badass Rank.

| Good to know, I also like knowing the stats. I'll prolly do this when i get a chance I've only got about 4 million right now. Another good way to go is doing the Caustic Caverns loot run. You need to have done the mine cart quest and you can nab 4 chests in 5 minutes. I've gotten some sweet gear and alot if crap, but you can easily make a couple mil in about 5 runs. | |

I have a certain way of doing it so I make roughly 0,000 every run. Caustic Caverns would be a decent loot run but there is always a risk of dying with the amount of enemies around (especially because I play solo) so I tend to steer clear of there. overlordlaharl134 Keep trying!! I still need to finish tallying the average ROI to get an exact number though. Just keep at it and it would be helpful if you post how much money it does take you. The quickest way to get money is probably farming the BNK3R...just make sure you have a lot of open backpack slots before you farm him. (10 or more open slots would be ideal) | |

Borderlands 2 Slot Machine Gambling Guide
Here’s a handy guide to get you up to speed with the slot machine and what to expect of it.

The slot machine is a new addition to Borderlands 2, and it allows you to spend all of your hard earned cash for the chance to win fantastic prizes.
The amount of money it costs to tug the one-armed bandit varies depending on your character’s level—as do the weapon rewards.
Eridium, character skins and cash are dispensed through the front tray, while weapons are acquired through the side tray on the left.
You can find two slot machines in Mad Moxxi’s bar for double the fun. You’ll also come across them in the wilderness, occasionally hoisted by a rare enemy called the One Armed Bandit.
A handy tip : Play the slots with a group of other players to multiply your cash and Eridium rewards.
Another handy tip : While your friends are doing their shopping in Sanctuary, just head on to Moxxi’s bar and gamble while you wait. Money has little use apart from buying ammunition and rare items from stores and you’ll always find more cash to buy ammo should you ever run out.
The odds may always be in the house's favor, but it's not like you've anything else to do with your money.
Slot Machine Rewards
Three Psycho Masks : A live grenade. This “reward” is the only one that’ll hurt you by doing more than taking away your money. Be sure to avoid the explosion.
Three Single Eridium : One stack of Eridium (4 pieces)
Three Double Eridium : Two stacks of Eridium (8 pieces)
Three Triple Eridium : Three stacks of Eridium (12 pieces)
Three Sevens : An uncommon rarity character skin from a weapons manufacturer.
Three Bells : More money for you to gamble with!
Three Cherries : Uncommon (Green) weapon
Three Moxxi Symbols : Rare (Blue) weapon
Three Marcus Symbols : Epic (Purple) weapon
Three Vault Symbols : Legendary (Orange) weapon
A pair of symbols with a bell: A small amount of cash.
A pair of symbols with a non-matching symbol: Common (White) weapon

- First and second symbols different (regardless of 3rd): No reward
- Any 2 matching with bell at the end: One to Three piles of Cash
- Two bells with any non-psycho mask at the end: One to Three piles of Cash
- 3 Bells: Three Piles of Cash
- 3 sevens: Character skin from a manufacturer e.g. Vladof Sickle.
- Any 2 matching with psycho mask at the end: White weapon
- 3 cherries: Green weapon.
- 3 legs: Blue weapon. Or, rarely, purple weapon and sometimes the chance for character or vehicle skins.
Purple Item With Three Legs
- 3 Marcus: Purple weapon, or very rarely other colors (including white).
- 3 Vault Signs: Orange weapon.
- 3 Psycho masks: The slot machine will drop a live grenade from the reward box, similar to the ones that Suicide Psychos use, and say 'Boom time!'. This is a completely normal grenade and will damage any player character in the blast radius, not just the Vault Hunter who actually used the slot machine. The damage dealt by the grenade is scaled to the level of loot in the machine.
- 3 Eridium bars: Stack of 4 Eridium bars. On rare occasions a jackpot will trigger that spews out around a dozen stacks of single eridium bars.
- 3 double Eridium bars: Two stacks of 4 Eridium bars (8 total)
- 3 triple Eridium bars: 12 individual Eridium bars
Skins, pistols, eridium, live grenades, and cash will be dispensed from the front drawer. All non-pistol weapons from the side drawer. Live grenades and eleven of the twelve eridium bars from a triple eridium reward will drop to the floor.

Ok, I need to know if any of you have heard of this.
I know a guy at work who told me that there is a trick to get unlimited Triple vault hunter symbols.
According to this guy, you need to be on the mission where Tiny Tina Has you go into the Buzzard Academy in Tundra Express.
I cant recall the name of the mission at this time, but I assume you all know the mission I am talking about.
Anyway, once you approach the Buzzard Academy with that mission active the academy spawns a mob of bandits and buzzards.
Among that mob is a One Armed Bandit Goliath, the Goliath who has the slot machine on his back.
According to this guy from work, if you manage to kill the One Armed Bandit Goliath WITHOUT taking off his head (so just body shots) the slot machine he leaves behind is supposed to pretty much exclusively give you the triple Vault Symbol Jackpot.
I stopped by his house and was going to verify this, because it was hard to believe, despite how damn excited the guy was about it and how much he swore up and down and acted like it was weird that I didn't already know of the exploit.
When He started his game up and continued, his save loaded right into tundra express, and he went straight into his menu and started showing me all of the awesome shit he had. Then he began making his way to the Buzzard Academy to show me and I received a call from my boss and I had to respond to a work related emergency and I couldn't stay.
when I got home tonight I tried it on my lvl 50 in playthrough 2.5, even though I had already completed the mission. I managed to get the Bandit to spawn, and kill him the proper way, but I didn't get any jackpots. I did however get a number of triple Marcus heads, which before now I had never gotten even a single one.
He Plays on 360, but he said he learned of the exploit from his brother who plays on PS3, which is what I play on, and so it is said to be working on both systems.
I don't think the guy is trolling me, and I haven't attempted the exploit under the correct parameters yet, so I am still open minded about it. But as they say, seeing is believing and all that so....
Have any of you heard of such a thing? I cant find a single hit about it on the internet. Which is odd to me.
If any of you have that mission available at this time and wouldn't mind giving it a couple of tries for the hell of it, that would be awesome. Let us know if it is a hit or miss.
He didn't specify whether or not PT1/TVHM/PT2.5 was a factor. But he was playing on TVHM.

Here's what happened: Your friend found a duper online, he gave him stuff.
He didn't want you to know that, so he made up an 'exploit'. I have a feeling it would weirdly not have worked with you watching.
Source: I totally have done something similar to a friend of mine.

It was in tundra expres where flesh stick spawns or in Sawtooth Cauldron.

shareSave pzeee PM 4 co-op!3 points · 5 years agoThis sounds fishy to me for two reasons. 1) the one armed bandit has a number of spawn points and its, to my knowledge, completly random. He acts just like the goliaths in that he can spawn wherever and whenever he chooses. 2) I did this quest last night and no one armed bandit spawned in the area noted by your friend. I have had better luck on these slots than Moxxi's though.
I would LOVE to be proven wrong however, as this sounds pretty sweet.

shareSave [deleted]1 point · 5 years agoWell, according to what the guy told me: It has to be done when that mission is available, so not before, and not after that mission, but WHEN that mission is available and accepted.
I don't know if it has to be marked as your active mission but I would recommend it.
I know he was doing it on TVHM, so that MAY be a factor but I'm not sure.
You cannot blow the guys head off. You must kill him by shooting his bod/legs/arms, but not his head.
The guy said he was throwing all of the extra shit down to other players too so I don't know if that is a factor, it didn't seem like it because he was going to do it offline when i was thereat his house.
He didn't say anything about evolving the Goliath up or anything so I don't think that is a factor either.
I also know that the guy didn't buy the game until a couple weeks ago so I know he isn't wearing the vault hunter relic or any crazy shit like that.
So, yeah, that's all i know, It didn't work for me, but I didn't do it with the quest active. I went back and tried it a few times after the quest had already been completed.
Basically just go there with the mission active and kill him with body shots.

So last time I was on the mission I did just that and it was just a normal slot machine.
Chances are significantly higher that he's been 'infected' with the cheat that makes it always get 3 vault symbols.

shareSave Arvoitus 2 points · 5 years agoI've had this happen to me in the fridge. I got triple vault symbols every time off a one armed bandit but the slot machine never gave any rewards. The drawer would just open with no reward.
shareSave Erekai 2 points · 5 years agoSomething similar happened to me in Thousand Cuts when I defeated all the slabs in PT2, there was a One-armed Bandit, and after I killed him I pulled the slot handle. I got 3 Marcus heads and I was like 'ooh sweet!' but the slot machine only gave me some cash. I thought 'WTF! The game just cheated me out of a purple!!' and so I pulled the handle again... and again 3 Marcus heads. And again. And again.
Every single time I pulled it, I got 3 Marcus heads but the prize was random. My friend I was playing with pulled the slot handle too but on his screen it showed the correct result for the prizes I got. Meaning, on my screen I would see 3 Marcus heads, but a green would pop out, and on his screen it would be 3 Cherries.
So, for me it was just a graphical bug. Don't know about your friend..
shareSave [deleted]2 points · 5 years agoSomething similar happened to me, but it wasn't with vault symbols. I kept playing over and over and got triple marcus at least 15 times before the machine vanished. Mine was at that ice level with the crystalisks (can't think of the name of the map, sorry).

But at this point it all still seems random occurring.
Ya know, I never really thought much of it at the time, but when i first started my game, the first time I went to moxxies and played the slots i got 3 legs about 15 times in a row. at the time I thought that was normal, only now I can hardly ever get them at all.
